Plans announced for world class water park in Marbella

The proposed scheme has the support from Ángeles Muñoz , and has been the brain child of the owners of the Hotel Don Miguel.

The new water park which will be located beside the Hotel Don Miguel hotel.

Marbella Leisureland Investments, a company linked to the Libyan group that bought the Don Miguel in 2012 with the idea of re-opening it as a luxury five-star resort, plans to begin building works in 2016 and open the leisure facility in the summer of 2017.

The water park, on a site which is 62,000 square metres in size, is to have eight zones, 28 attractions and four kilometres of paths. A thousand job positions are to be created - directly and indirectly - during its construction. Tens of millions of euros are expected to be invested in the scheme.

Muñoz said, “This is a unique project for Marbella and has been conceived with the objective of becoming iconic in global terms.”
