The proposed scheme has the support from Ángeles Muñoz , and
has been the brain child of the owners of the Hotel Don Miguel.

Marbella Leisureland Investments, a company linked to the
Libyan group that bought the Don Miguel in 2012 with the idea of re-opening it
as a luxury five-star resort, plans to begin building works in 2016 and open
the leisure facility in the summer of 2017.
The water park, on a site which is 62,000 square metres in
size, is to have eight zones, 28 attractions and four kilometres of paths. A
thousand job positions are to be created - directly and indirectly - during its
construction. Tens of millions of euros are expected to be invested in the
scheme.
Muñoz said, “This is a unique project for Marbella and has
been conceived with the objective of becoming iconic in global terms.”
